Role Overview

Responsible for managing store operations, including staffing, training, inventory, merchandise presentation, and customer service. Ensures store efficiency, safety, and compliance with company policies and legal requirements.

• Recruit, hire, train, evaluate, and retain qualified employees, ensuring proper staffing levels.
• Provide performance feedback, conduct evaluations, and address gaps or disciplinary issues.
• Make recommendations on employee pay and advancement.
• Open and close the store, maintain daily operational routines.
• Analyze sales, profitability, and expenses to identify business trends and opportunities.
• Manage inventory levels through ordering, cycle counts, and stock replenishment.
• Ensure proper merchandise presentation, signage, and pricing.
• Maintain accurate inventory and control damages, markdowns, and shrinkage.
• Uphold cash handling and security procedures, including cashier accountability and key control.
• Lead customer service efforts, ensuring a positive shopping experience.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized store environment.
• Adhere to company policies, complete documentation, and promote safety practices.

• Ability to interpret operational documents and perform basic math.
• Knowledge of cash handling, inventory, and merchandising practices.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Experience in recruiting, interviewing, and managing staff in a retail setting preferred.
• Physical ability to perform frequent walking, standing, lifting up to 55 pounds, and occasional ladder use.
• Bilingual skills may be preferred depending on location.

High school diploma or equivalent preferred; management experience in retail is a plus.
