AboutThe Role
Skills Group is looking for an experienced International Market Development Manager to lead student recruitment and partner engagement across the India market. Based in Wiri, Auckland, this is a relationship-driven international sales role focused on growing student enrolments, developing education partnerships, and expanding Skills Group’s presence across India.
You’ll work closely with education agents, partners, and internal stakeholders to grow enrolments, strengthen long-term relationships, and support Skills Group’s international education strategy. Alongside a competitive base salary, this role also includes an incentive structure linked to performance outcomes. This role requires travel to India approximately twice per year.
What You Will Be Doing- Develop and deliver regional recruitment and market growth plans
- Build and manage strong relationships with education agents and partner organisations across India
- Identify new partnership and international sales opportunities
- Promote Skills Group through events, education fairs, and offshore market activity
- Support prospective students and agents with programme and admissions enquiries
- Monitor recruitment performance, conversion rates, and market trends
- Prepare reporting, market analysis, and recruitment insights
- Work collaboratively with internal teams to improve student experience and enrolment outcomes
- Represent Skills Group professionally both in New Zealand and internationally
- Ensure recruitment activity aligns with immigration and compliance requirements
- Experience in sales, ideally international sales, business development, or student recruitment
- Background in the international education sector highly desirable
- Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills
- Charismatic, confident, and naturally people-focused communication style
- Commercially minded with experience working towards growth or revenue targets
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Full New Zealand Driver Licence and willingness to travel to India approximately twice per year
