Unarmed Security Officer; FLEX

Marksman Security is hiring immediately for FLEX Security Officers. Security officers $17.50 p/hr.

FLEX Hours – must be fully flexible and able to work any hours. This is a part‑time position. Weekend and holiday availability is required. Must be able to respond to work assignments with little to no advance notice.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in security or customer service fields, be reasonably physically fit and able to stand and walk for periods of time.

Security officers, sometimes referred to as security guards, deter criminal activity, protect property and enforce rules on a property. They may monitor surveillance cameras and alarms from a stationary position or patrol areas and perform security checks.

• Acknowledge and greet all residents and guests in a prompt and courteous manner
• Manage all guest/visitor access as needed and remove trespassers or violators from the premises when deemed necessary
• Verify credentials of incoming and outgoing individuals/vehicles
• Document and maintain a log of visitors and notify residents of visitor arrival
• Assist in protecting others and equipment while enforcing policies and procedures
• Monitor and detect any suspicious behavior to assist in the prevention of vandalism, theft and or other criminal behavior
• Monitor surveillance cameras and alarms
• Patrol the perimeter (interior/exterior) to identify potential safety and security risks
• Warn violators of infractions such as loitering, smoking, and possession of prohibited items
• Respond to calls of distress, alarms, or emergencies such as fire, injuries or presence of unauthorized individuals by contacting local first responders
• Identify and report any and all concerns (safety, security breaches, unusual circumstances) in a timely manner
• Ensure accuracy and timely submission of required documentation (reports/documents)
• Ensure all rules/regulations are being enforced and followed
• Other duties as determined by management

• Minimum 18 years of age or older
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Professional demeanor and appearance
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize assigned tasks
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Minimum of one year of customer service experience
• Minimum of one year of security experience
• Must be able to pass pre‑employment screening (background and drug)
• Position requires occasional crawling, crouching, climbing stairs, kneeling, running, sitting, standing, stooping and walking for extended periods
