As a Security Officer Armed Driver Patrol in Bayboro, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal supporting a government corrections location as an armed patrol officer. You will conduct routine patrols of assigned areas, maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents, and respond to calls with calm, clear communication.

This role requires an armed guard card/license and a valid driver's license, and offers a team-focused environment where integrity, reliability, and a people-first culture guide every shift.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and contractors at a government corrections location by following post orders, site-specific policies, and established security-related procedures and/or emergency response protocols.
• Conduct armed foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter routes, including regular and random checks to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or contraband introduction.
• Monitor access control points, verify identification and authorization, control entry and exit, and assist with visitor processing in accordance with facility rules and procedures.
• Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinate communications with facility personnel and emergency services as directed, and assist with scene control until relieved.
• Complete detailed written reports and logs, document observations and incidents, and report maintenance issues, hazards, and policy violations through the appropriate chain of command.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an Armed Guard Card and/or license.
• Have 6 months or more of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
