Job Description

Title: Security Officer Armed Patrol Agent

Location: Maury, NC

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Agent in Maury, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as government. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support a professional environment through strong communication and customer service. In this armed post, you will contribute to daily operations with agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity while making a meaningful impact every shift.

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $21.50 / Hour

Job Schedule: Day Time Thur 05:45 AM - 06:00 PM Fri 05:45 AM - 06:00 PM Sat 05:45 AM - 06:00 PM

What You’ll Do
  • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities within a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns through appropriate channels.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and support order within the location.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas, verify access credentials when required, and assist with visitor processing in accordance with site protocols.
  • Carry authorized equipment in accordance with post orders and applicable regulations, maintaining readiness to respond to security‑related events as directed.
Minimum Requirements
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • An armed guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
