Nature of Work:
- Operates guard booth and security gate and is responsible for monitoring traffic of people coming and going on campus for both McDowell High School and West McDowell Middle School;
- Exercises vigilance at all times and notes/reports conduct of any suspicious person(s);
- Monitors security cameras;
- Alerts/assists police and emergency response team with fires, disasters, accidents or any similar events (as directed);
- Works special events and is able to comply with oral and written instructions;
- Composes/ completes basic reports and detects situations imperiling life, safety and property;
- Performs safety and security duties while sitting, standing and walking;
- Demonstrates effective and excellent communication skills and the ability to operate two‑way radios and telephones;
- And any other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Preferably one year experience in security.
