Position OverviewAllied Universal is hiring full‑time and part‑time Armed Security Guards in Polkton, NC. Candidates will patrol correctional facilities and ensure security inside and outside the premises without inmate interaction. The role requires a valid driver’s license, age 21+, and certification at the range to obtain an armed NCPPSB guard card. Shift is 12 hr, 05:45 pm–6 am. Pay is $21.50 per hour.
Responsibilities- Provide customer service by carrying out safety and security procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by client site.
- At least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- High school diploma, equivalent, or five years of verifiable experience.
- Subject to background investigation per federal, state, and local laws.
- Subject to drug screening as permitted by law.
- Participation in industry‑specific security/safety training programs.
- Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
- Valid driver’s license is required only for driving positions.
