About the Role

Marksman Security is partnering with Toyota Motor Manufacturing in Liberty, NC, to hire dedicated firefighters for their new battery manufacturing facility. The position is full‑time, entry‑level, and focuses on protecting the facility, team, and equipment from fire, medical, and hazardous material emergencies in a fast‑paced, high‑tech environment.

• Respond to fire, medical, and hazardous materials emergencies.
• Perform fire prevention inspections and safety training.
• Work in a fast‑paced, high‑tech industrial environment.

• Understand and follow all Standard Operating Procedures.
• Follow Emergency Action and Communication Plans and all Standard Operating Procedures for emergencies.
• Complete incident reports as required.
• Respond to all fire/medical/security/hazmat/threat situations according to Emergency Response Plan and Standardized Operating Procedures and Medical Director Protocols.
• Perform routine daily/weekly/monthly inspections on fire alarm, fire suppression, and security equipment.
• Physically inspect all fire suppression systems, including Manual and Automatic Alarm initiating devices and Standpipe Hoses.
• Perform daily inspections on apparatus, security vehicles, and emergency response equipment.
• Patrol facilities for fire or building code violations and additional safety hazards; report to supervisor.
• Act as a weather spotter and monitor weather alerts through Sky Guard or other notification systems.
• Approve and inspect all hot works and high‑hazard hot works, confined space permits.
• Participate in daily training on emergency response to maintain readiness.
• Maintain compliance with personal Fire/Medical/Hazmat certifications as required by local mandate.
• Demonstrate experience managing multiple tasks, executing radio and telephone communications, and performing in a high‑pressure environment.
• Other duties as directed by supervisor.

24-hour shift: 0800–0800. Rotation: 24 on / 24 off / 24 on / 24 off / 24 on / 96 off.

Entry level pay: $21.00/hr (base annual $43,680). Built‑in overtime adds an estimated $26,208 annually, with potential total earnings up to $69,888 annually.

• Minimum age 18 with high school diploma or GED.
• Certified Fire 1 and 2.
• EMR or EMT certification.
• Current driver’s license.
• Hazmat Operations certification.
• Pass NFPA 1582 physical examination.

• Pass criminal background check and drug test.
• Technology skills: operate access control system, computer for incident reports, security software applications, and email.
• Strong customer service skills, professional demeanor, and appearance.
• Experience managing multiple tasks and executing radio and telephone communications under medium to high‑pressure conditions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills for interaction with client staff and the public.
