Job Description

As a Security Officer Access Control Driver in Saint Pauls, NC
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic food and beverage location as an Access Control Officer in a driving post. You will monitor entry points, verify badges and credentials, conduct routine patrols, and provide professional communication that helps support a secure environment and help to deter security‑related incidents.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out site‑specific access control procedures, credential verification, and other security‑related policies at the location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, screen visitors and/or deliveries, and maintain visitor logs and required documentation in support of access control operations.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, and report relevant activity according to site protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location, including perimeter areas, gates, parking areas, and assigned interior spaces, as working conditions may vary by site.
  • Help to deter unauthorized access and/or policy violations by observing site activity, communicating clearly with personnel, and documenting security‑related concerns for follow‑up.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
