As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and respond to situations with professionalism and care. ** What You'll Do:*
* + Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities within a government corrections location.

+ Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner while following post orders and use-of-force guidelines for an armed assignment.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter zones to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.

+ Monitor access points, verify credentials, and document visitor, contractor, and/or vehicle activity in accordance with location protocols and reporting requirements.

+ Prepare clear, timely reports on incidents, observations, and/or daily activities, and communicate with site contacts, supervisors, and public officials as needed.

* Minimum Requirements:

* + A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

+ An armed guard card/license is preferred.

+ Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
