** What You'll Do:*
* + Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or the public by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a government corrections environment.

+ Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using sound judgment while following post orders for an armed patrol assignment.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity, identify unusual conditions, and report concerns to appropriate personnel.

+ Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or authorizations, and help to control access to restricted areas in accordance with site policies and applicable procedures.

+ Prepare clear reports on incidents, observations, and/or daily activities, and communicate with site personnel, supervisors, and public agencies as needed regarding security-related matters.

* Minimum Requirements:

* + A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

+ An armed guard card/license is preferred.

+ Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
