As a Security Officer Armed Response Driver in New London, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal in a government corrections location where you will conduct visible armed patrols, support security‑related operations, and provide strong customer service and communication. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $21.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Friday 05:45 AM - 06:00 PM
• Saturday 05:45 AM - 06:00 PM
• Sunday 05:45 AM - 06:00 PM

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or the public by carrying out security‑related procedures, location‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a government location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security‑related concerns through appropriate channels.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials and/or permissions as directed, and support access control procedures for restricted areas within the location.
• Work collaboratively with site leadership and/or public sector personnel during routine operations, emergency situations, escorts, transports, and other security‑related assignments as needed.

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• An armed guard card and/or license is preferred.
• A valid firearms permit is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
