Position Type: Part Time
Pay Rate: $21.50 / Hour
Job Schedule: Day Time, Sat 05:45 AM – 06:00 PM, Sun 05:45 PM – 06:00 AM
What You’ll Do:
- Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or the public by carrying out site‑specific procedures, access control practices, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting observed activity and notifying the appropriate personnel as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, entry points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor for policy violations, suspicious behavior, and/or prohibited items, and follow post orders for reporting, escalation, and coordination with onsite leadership or public sector personnel.
- Maintain readiness for an armed post by handling assigned equipment in accordance with post instructions, company policies, and applicable laws while supporting security‑related operations at the location.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
- Possess at least 6 months of armed security‑related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
