Are you ready to begin your career in law enforcement? The Town of Marshville is seeking dedicated, service-oriented individuals to join our Police Department as Patrol Officers (MP1).
As a Patrol Officer, you'll play a vital role in protecting the lives and property of our residents while building positive relationships throughout the community. This position offers the opportunity to develop your skills through hands‑on experience, ongoing training, and mentorship within a supportive department committed to professionalism and community policing.
What You’ll Do- Patrol assigned areas to prevent crime and enforce local and state laws.
- Respond to emergency and non-emergency calls for service.
- Conduct traffic enforcement and investigate motor vehicle accidents.
- Prepare reports, collect evidence, and testify in court when necessary.
- Build positive relationships with residents through community engagement.
- Work collaboratively with fellow officers to maintain a safe community.
- High School Diploma or GED
- North Carolina Basic Law Enforcement Training (BLET) Certification
- Valid North Carolina Driver's License
- Ability to meet all North Carolina Criminal Justice Education and Training Standards requirements
- Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Starting Salary: $57,317.77 annually ($27.56/hour)
