Data Center Security Manager, DC Security

We are looking for a Data Center Security Manager to join our Infrastructure Operations team.

• Drive operational security excellence across multiple facilities within a short driving distance.
• Identify physical security gaps, run investigations, and ensure timely remediation.
• Manage vendor relationships for new security construction, repairs, daily security operations, patrols, and planning.
• Extract metrics and observe improvements through hard data analysis.
• Make recommendations on improving electronic surveillance and access controls.
• Educate data‑center occupants on false‑alarm reductions.
• Write and implement security processes and procedures.
• Report, present, and communicate status of physical security operations to management.

AWS Infrastructure Services (AIS) owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of AWS global infrastructure. You’ll work with software, hardware, network, and security experts to deliver self‑service self‑capacity at low cost.

• Experience acting as a Program Security Officer, Security Specialist, or Security Manager overseeing personnel, industrial, and physical security disciplines.
• Experience with access‑control and CCTV systems.
• +6 months in security roles, preferably in data‑center or similar environment.
• Additional education or training in security‑related fields is a plus.

• College degree or background in military, law enforcement (arrest authority), TSA, or correctional facility.
• 2+ years of security experience or equivalent.
• 1+ year of leadership experience.

The base salary range for this position is $80,000.00–$ USD annually. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units. Final compensation will depend on experience, qualifications, and location. Amazon also offers benefits such as health, dental, vision, prescription, basic life & AD&D, EAP, mental health support, medical advice line, flexible spending accounts, adoption & surrogacy reimbursement, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and parental leave.
