• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government corrections location.
• Respond to incidents, critical situations, and calls for assistance in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify authorization as directed, and document visitor activity, incidents, and unusual conditions in accordance with site procedures.
• Maintain a professional armed presence while communicating and coordinating with facility personnel and responding agencies as appropriate.

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A valid firearms permit is preferred.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
