Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver in Windsor, NC
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a government corrections location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide professional customer service. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license and offers the opportunity to represent Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and caring culture through teamwork and integrity.

What You’ll Do:
- Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or members of the public while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies at a government corrections location.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas, reporting unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and document visitor, vehicle, and/or contractor activity in accordance with post orders.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and emergency responders when needed.
- Prepare clear and accurate incident reports, patrol logs, and other required documentation, while maintaining a professional presence that helps to deter unauthorized activity.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess at least six months of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- An armed guard card or license is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs. - Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
