This position serves as a Security Officer, also known as a Mobile Advisor, and is an hourly, non-exempt role reporting to the Safety, Security, and Transportation Manager.

This is not a passive security position. It is a leadership role on the front line. You are responsible for maintaining a safe and structured environment while also serving as a mentor, role model, and standard-bearer for student behavior.

This role requires presence, consistency, and sound judgment. You will actively monitor student activity, address behavioral concerns, and engage with students in a way that reinforces respect, discipline, and responsibility.

You bring discipline, awareness, and the ability to lead without needing a title. You understand how to enforce standards while still treating people with dignity and respect. You are steady under pressure and consistent in your actions.

You gain experience beyond traditional security work. This role builds leadership, conflict resolution, and mentoring skills that carry forward into law enforcement, management, and other professional paths. • Demonstrates and abides by Covenant Learning Solutions values and operating principles
• Enforces all authorized laws, rules, and regulations
• Performs alarm response and patrol duties to protect life and property against theft, vandalism, fire, and other hazards
• Provides transportation support in accordance with government and organizational directives
• Assists students, staff, and visitors in a professional and respectful manner
• Conducts building security and safety checks
• Receives complaints and conducts preliminary investigations
• Maintains working relationships with local law enforcement agencies
• Provides escort services as directed
• Investigates vehicle accidents on center
• Issues visitor passes and temporary vehicle permits
• Completes required reports and maintains accurate security logs
• Enforces center pass and accountability procedures
• Attends required training and participates in ongoing development
• Supports the disciplinary process, including zero tolerance policies related to violence and drugs
• Assists with reception and control center operations
• Operates switchboard functions as required
• Maintains accountability of staff, students, and property
• Promotes a safe environment free from harassment, intimidation, bullying, and disrespect
• Performs other duties as assigned

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• One year of experience in security, law enforcement, military service, or related field preferred
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record required
