Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer Full Time Armed Mobile Patrol Driver in Hookerton, NC
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a government correctional location. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, respond to concerns, and provide professional customer service and communication. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license and armed credentials.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate within a government corrections environment.
- Respond to incidents, critical situations, and requests for assistance in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and reporting protocols.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and document visitor, staff, contractor, and vehicle activity in accordance with site procedures.
- Prepare clear, accurate reports related to incidents, patrols, observations, and other security-related activities, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
- Have at least six months of armed guard, law enforcement, or military experience.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
