Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer Armed Mobile Route Driver in Burgaw, NC
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government correctional location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security‑related concerns. This driving post calls for strong communication, professionalism, and sound judgment while supporting a controlled environment.

- Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and authorized personnel by carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures, access‑control policies, and emergency response activities at a government corrections location.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, perimeter areas, parking locations, and access points to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points, verify credentials and authorization, maintain awareness of visitor and contractor activity, and report unauthorized entry attempts or policy violations.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established post orders and applicable procedures.
- Document patrols, incidents, observations, and shift activities accurately; communicate relevant information to site contacts, allied personnel, and emergency responders as appropriate.
- An Armed Guard Card/License is required.
- At least 6 months of armed security‑related, law enforcement, or military experience is required.
- A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
