Maintenance Technician

Job Summary

CBRE Global Workplace Solutions (GWS) prioritizes safety, ensuring employees return home in the same condition they reported to work. We are looking for skilled and forward‑thinking Maintenance Technicians to join our growing team and support one of the world’s largest online retailers.

In this vital role you will support the maintenance and operation of the building systems inside a client facility, repair, maintain, and continuously improve the functionality of material handling equipment (MHE) and robotic systems throughout the facility.

• Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures.
• Solve electrical and mechanical issues related to all MHE, including belts, motors, photo‑eyes, relays, and more.
• Install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment.
• Complete and properly document preventative maintenance routines.
• Track and store department inventory.
• Cultivate positive working relationships with clients and Operations Maintenance team members.
• Perform other job‑related duties as needed or assigned.

• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• 1 year of related experience and/or training.
• Proficiency using computers and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
• Experience using powered or non‑powered hand tools.
• Ability to solve problems and carry out general instructions in standard situations such as routine maintenance, repairs, preventative measures, emergency responses, coordination, and safety compliance.
• Ability to move up to 50lbs and meet physical requirements including stooping, standing, walking, and climbing stairs/ladders with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Associate’s or higher degree from a vocational school or college with a focus in the mechanical or electrical field.
• 2+ years apprenticeship or equivalent experience with electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Experience with MHE safety standards in accordance with OEM and safety standards.
• Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• 2+ years’ experience with automated conveyor systems and controls.
• 2+ years’ experience conducting predictive and preventative maintenance procedures.
• 2+ years of blueprint and electrical schematic reading.
• 2+ years of knowledge of electrical and electronic principles.
• 2+ years of experience following and demonstrating safety standards.
• 1+ year experience in troubleshooting and diagnostics of MHE systems.
