Maintenance Mechanic

3M is seeking Maintenance Mechanic candidates for Moncure, North Carolina.

• Weekend Crew, 6AM-6PM, 3-4 day weekend

• Troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and improve mechanical equipment and components including pneumatic/hydraulic components, gearboxes, couplings, power transmission systems, bearings, lubrication practices, pumps, valves, pumping and piping systems, clutch, brakes and drive components.
• Troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and improve system components including motors, drive control components and I/O, working knowledge of controls programming, electrical sensors and field devices, network systems and communication.
• Perform millwright tasks: moving material, equipment and machinery using standard methods of lifting, rigging, hoisting, blocking, skidding and rolling.
• Troubleshoot and repair low voltage electrical equipment, and replace or wire motors, replace fuses, adjust micro switches, proximity switches and photoeyes.
• Perform preventive, predictive, and emergency maintenance for production equipment, material handling equipment, safety devices and facility utilities following standard procedures as indicated on PM route sheets or in equipment manuals. Set‑up PMs on new equipment and update PMs on existing equipment for frequency and job plan.

• High School Diploma / GED or higher (completed prior to start)
• 2 years of maintenance experience in an industrial/manufacturing setting.
• Associate's degree in an engineering‑related field (Mechatronics, Industrial Electronics, or industrial maintenance field) – preferred.
• Ability to read and understand mechanical and electrical drawings.

Onsite – Moncure, North Carolina

Starting rate of pay: $32.54 per hour. (Additional benefits include Medical, Dental & Vision, Health Savings Accounts, Disability Benefits, Life Insurance, Voluntary Benefits, Paid Absences and Retirement Benefits).
