Facilities Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure the optimal functioning of our facilities. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct routine inspections of buildings and equipment to identify maintenance needs.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other systems.
  • Painting, light carpentry, maintenance of the floors.
  • Troubleshoot and repair various equipment and building systems.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff and management.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work performed and materials used.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Assist with facility improvements and renovations as needed.
  • Manage inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment.
  • Collaborate with external contractors for specialized maintenance tasks.
  • Participate in on-call rotation for emergency repairs outside regular hours.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications are a plus.
  • Proven experience as a facilities maintenance technician or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical manuals, and safety guidelines.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).
  • Ability to climb ladders and work at heights.
  • Willingness to work in varying environmental conditions (e.g., outdoors, confined spaces).
