Full Time Maintenance Technician to work at Cypress Court Apartments in Ahoskie, NC.

• Perform repairs, troubleshoot systems, and complete preventive maintenance on all apartment equipment, including appliances, elementary electrical systems, and plumbing.
• Maintain and improve operating condition, quality, and integrity of all building systems and building appearances.
• Must have own tools and a valid Driver's License.
• Perform on‑site basic repairs for HVAC systems, appliances, water heaters, facility electrical systems, plumbing systems, and any other special equipment on the property.
• Be available for emergency maintenance calls 24 hours a day when scheduled.
• Assist in training Groundskeepers and entry‑level Maintenance Technicians.
• Conduct maintenance‑related inspections, including building and alarm systems inspections, and prepare the property for regulatory inspections.
• Perform preventive maintenance to include winterizing facilities, inspecting HVAC systems, winterizing swimming pool equipment, cleaning the pool, and ensuring lights/HVAC are turned off in vacant units daily.
• Inspect vacant units, ensuring turnovers are completed and paint turnovers as needed.
• Inspect subcontracted service providers and document work and product quality.
• Walk the grounds and common interior areas daily, removing litter and debris from lawns, planting beds, parking areas, sidewalks, ramps, and indoor spaces.
• Remove snow and ice from sidewalks, walkways, steps, and driveways during winter.
• Attend and complete all required training.
• Complete repairs as directed.
• Perform administrative duties, including recording maintenance requests, responding to them, using proper forms, and maintaining inventory of parts.
• Move heavy equipment safely using proper equipment.
• Ensure the property complies with all applicable Affordable Housing programs, including HUD Subsidy, USDA, RD, LIHTC, HOME, and other state and local programs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Two (2) years of maintenance experience required or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• College degree preferred.
• HVAC and/or EPA certification preferred.
• Previous multifamily experience preferred.
• Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification preferred.
