Samaritan's Purse is seeking a Plumbing Trainee to join our Rebuild teams in Burnsville, North Carolina
. We are looking for entry-level plumbers with a heart for ministry and a passion to serve. As a Plumbing Trainee, you will have the opportunity to lead volunteer teams, complete plumbing work on home rebuilds, and assist in stewarding our homeowners through the rebuilding process.
A day in the life of a Plumbing Trainee:

In the role of a Plumbing Trainee, you will have the opportunity to:
- Maintain your personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be an effective witness for Him
- Collaborate with the Rebuild Construction Manager and Plumbing Foreman to complete plumbing work and repairs in residential construction
- Lead and work with on-site volunteer teams
- Maintain inventory of tools, materials, and plumbing equipment at each job site
- Communicate and minister to homeowners and partners throughout the rebuilding process
- Install all plumbing needs, and conduct routine maintenance and repairs on existing plumbing infrastructure
- One-year certificate from college or technical school and at least three (3) months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Basic knowledge of the construction industry and process
- Ability to obtain Class A restricted drivers license and valid Department of Transportation Medical Card
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally with construction management and volunteers
