Plumber II - Granville Correctional Institution

Job Summary

Plumber II (S). Reports to the Maintenance Supervisor at a close custody male correctional facility and provides facility maintenance and plumbing support.

• Perform journey level duties in the installation, maintenance, and repair of air, gas, water, and waste disposal systems.
• Execute routine work assignments and special or unusual tasks following specific instructions from foreman.
• Exercise considerable independence when performing routine work; discuss unprecedented assignments with foreman.
• Be reviewed by foreman through inspection of work in progress and rely on satisfactory operation of equipment repaired or installed.

• High school or GED diploma and two years of experience in the repair, replacement or construction of piping systems, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Documented knowledge of installation and repair of plumbing systems.

• Documented knowledge of installation and repair of plumbing systems.
• Ability to resolve complex plumbing issues independently.
