Job Summary:
Installs, maintains, troubleshoot, and repairs conventional and CNC machine tools, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical and PLC control systems by performing the following duties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Follow all health, safety and environmental policies, procedures, and practices.
- Extensive CNC troubleshooting and repair capabilities.
- Ability to interpret mechanical, electrical/electronic, hydraulic and pneumatic schematics and diagrams.
- Dismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts.
- Installs and repairs electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring, electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment.
- Highly skilled in ball-screw replacement, turret alignments, gib adjustments, and backlash compensation.
- Strong working knowledge of relay logic, PLC's, drives, processors, ac/dc motors, and general mechanical (ball-screws, headstock alignment, etc.).
- Ability to perform Ball-bar analysis/troubleshoot and repair (desired).
- Hydraulic and pneumatic systems, assembly, installation, maintenance and repair.
- Repairs and maintains physical structure of establishment.
- Basic repairs to automated machinery and equipment such as robots or programmable machine tools.
- Fabricates and repairs mechanical devices as needed.
- Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
- Fulltime 40 hr. commitment with occasional overtime expected.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate degree in Industrial Systems Technologies.
- 2 years verifiable experience in CNC machine tool troubleshooting and maintenance.
Physical Demands:
- Routinely lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and depth perception.
- Routinely reach with hands and arms to handle or feel.
- Frequently required to stand and walk.
- Occasionally required to sit, stoop, kneel, or crouch.
Pay Rate: $28.18-$35.68/hr, based on experience
