Maintenance Mechanic – Graham Personnel Services is seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Mechanic to join a maintenance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial maintenance, with a focus on troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining machinery and equipment within a warehouse setting. The Maintenance Mechanic will play a key role in minimizing downtime, optimizing equipment performance, and contributing to the overall efficiency of our operations.
Key Responsibilities- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and inspections on conveyor systems, forklifts, packaging machinery, and other warehouse equipment. Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues. Execute preventive maintenance plans to ensure the longevity and reliability of equipment.
- Repair and Installation: Conduct repairs on malfunctioning equipment promptly and effectively. Install and set up new machinery as needed. Collaborate with other maintenance team members to address complex issues.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines during maintenance activities. Identify and rectify safety hazards in equipment and the work environment.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections. Provide input for the development of maintenance procedures and manuals.
- Collaboration: Coordinate with other departments to understand their maintenance needs and address them proactively. Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to ensure seamless operations.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in industrial maintenance is preferred.
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Mechanic in a warehouse or industrial setting.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals and schematics.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Comfortable working in various temperatures and weather conditions.
- Willingness to work overtime as needed.
