The North Carolina Department of Transportation is seeking a Welder (S) for the Elkin Bridge Maintenance Unit in Surry County. Responsibilities include operating acetylene and electric arc welding equipment, fabricating bridge components, and reading detailed blueprints and plans.
Overnight travel may be required. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED with two years of welding experience, proficiency in welding methods (O/A cutting, MIG/TIG), and the ability to work extended hours
