Breeder Crew Supervisor

Role Summary

Primarily responsible for supervising contracted breeder crew ensuring proper house conditions, birds’ care and comfort.

• Act as liaison between Wayne Farms and contracted crew laborers.
• Oversee and monitor vaccination program.
• Assist with pullet movement.
• Monitor sanitation and disinfection of breeder houses.
• Ensure USDA and other government regulations are followed when handling poultry.
• Maintain productive grower relationships.
• Provide technical assistance.
• Ensure growers follow animal welfare guidelines.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Direct supervision of 6–10 hourly contracted employees. Leader of People position requiring competencies:
Strategic Agility, Business Acumen, Building Effective Teams, Customer Focus, Command Skills.

High School Diploma or equivalent and minimum 2 years of live poultry experience within a similar environment OR Associate’s Degree in Poultry Science, Agricultural Science or related field from an accredited institution.

Bachelor’s Degree in Poultry Science, Agricultural Science or related field from an accredited institution. Poultry or veterinary assistant experience.
