Electrician

Leapros Skilled Trades is actively hiring Electrician in Mayodan, NC. The Electrician is responsible for performing duties related to the installation, alteration, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems, conductors, and associated equipment. The ideal candidate will be a safety-conscious professional capable of working in a secure facility environment, possessing the technical skills to handle conduit bending, wire pulling, and system installations.

Licenses/Certifications Required:

• Ladder Safety Training
• General Safety Training
• Lift Training

Responsibilities:

• Install, alter, repair, and maintain electrical systems, conductors, and associated materials and equipment.
• Perform bending, stooping, and installation of electrical boxes and pipes spanning from floor to ceiling level.
• Pull wire of all gauges with or without the assistance of others.
• Use one and two-handed manual, electrical, and battery-operated hand tools such as conduit benders, knockout cutters, and wire strippers.
• Lift, position, hold, and fasten objects such as conduit, motors, fixtures, and poles for installation or removal.
• Maintain tools, equipment, supplies, and work areas in a clean, orderly, and safe condition.
• Transport tools and materials up to 50 pounds across various terrains, including stairs and gravel.
• Demonstrate safe working procedures and report unsafe working conditions or practices immediately.
• Ensure all assigned property including tools and materials are secure at all times.
• Perform general housekeeping duties including organizing tools and keeping the work area free of tripping hazards.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience performing electrical installations and repairs in an industrial or commercial setting.
• Must be able to pass a specialized background check and drug screening process.
• Must be legally eligible to own a firearm in the United States to meet site-specific security requirements.
• Ability to work as a local candidate in Mayodan, NC without per diem.
• Proficiency in using a variety of manual and power tools such as hammers, drills, and saws.
• Strong understanding of safe work practices and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift and carry objects up to 50 pounds from one location to another.
• Ability to bend, stoop, and regain balance upon standing when installing components from floor to ceiling levels.
• Physical capability to walk, push, or pull equipment over uneven surfaces and up stairs.
• Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for drilling, hammering, and wire pulling.
• Must be able to wear personal protective equipment including hard hats, safety glasses, respirators, and hearing protection.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time while performing installation duties.

Pay Transparency:

The anticipated pay rate for this position is $30 per hour, based on relevant factors such as experience, skills, education, internal equity, and geographic location. Final compensation will be determined during the interview process by the hiring authority.
