Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
Bridgewell Truss LLC is seeking a skilled and dependable Industrial Maintenance Technician.
The Industrial Maintenance Technician supports Bridgewell Truss’s manufacturing operations by keeping equipment, machinery, and facilities running safely and efficiently. Working across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, this role is responsible for troubleshooting, repair, preventive maintenance, and fabrication that minimize downtime and support safe, reliable production. The position also performs basic maintenance on trailers and delivery equipment and coordinates with outside service providers on larger repairs.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on production equipment and machinery.
- Identify the root cause of equipment failures and implement effective, lasting corrective repairs.
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to guide diagnosis and repair.
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on production equipment to minimize unplanned downtime.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance performed, parts used, and equipment condition.
- Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements or upgrades where appropriate.
- Weld and fabricate parts, brackets, and components as needed to support repairs and equipment improvements.
- Fabricate replacement parts to restore equipment to safe operating condition when off-the-shelf parts are unavailable.
- Perform basic trailer maintenance, including greasing rollers, adjusting brakes, replacing lights, and minor electrical repairs.
- Inspect trailers and delivery equipment for safety and roadworthiness and report deficiencies.
- Identify larger equipment or trailer issues and coordinate with outside service providers when repairs exceed in-house capabilities.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment and ensure all repairs meet OSHA standards and Company safety policies.
- Follow lockout/tagout and other required safety procedures when servicing equipment.
- Report safety hazards and near-misses promptly.
- Perform other maintenance-related duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or trade-school training in industrial maintenance, welding, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of industrial maintenance experience preferred.
- Experience with basic trailer maintenance is a plus but not required.
- Strong welding and fabrication skills.
- Working knowledge of industrial electrical systems and the ability to troubleshoot them safely.
- Ability to diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic problems and implement effective solutions.
- General understanding of maintenance across equipment and facilities.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
- Knowledge of OSHA standards and safe maintenance practices, including lockout/tagout.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and respond to equipment issues in a fast-paced production environment.
Pay Range: $25.00/hr - $35.00/hr
