, is seeking a Lead Farmhand to join our team. We manage approximately 1,800 acres of corn, soybeans, cucumbers, and small grains. We are seeking an experienced and dependable Lead Farmhand to support our day-to-day row-crop farming operations. This position will operate a variety of agricultural equipment and help keep farm machinery maintained, repaired, and ready for use.
The ideal candidate is honest, mechanically capable, serious about their responsibilities, and genuinely wants to build a career working in agriculture. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands‑on work, takes ownership of assigned tasks, and can work effectively without constant supervision.
Key Responsibilities- Operate tractors, sprayers, harvesting equipment, and other farm machinery
- Assist with planting, spraying, harvesting, and general crop-production activities
- Inspect equipment and identify maintenance or repair needs
- Perform routine maintenance and mechanical repairs on farm equipment
- Help keep machinery dependable, safe, and ready for seasonal fieldwork
- Operate tractor-trailers when needed
- Complete assigned work safely, efficiently, and with attention to detail
- Support other general farm duties as operational needs change throughout the season
- Previous experience operating agricultural or heavy equipment
- Farm equipment maintenance and repair experience
- Strong mechanical aptitude and practical troubleshooting skills
- Willingness and ability to drive tractor-trailers when needed
- Ability to work independently and follow through on responsibilities
