Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Lead to join our standby generator installation team based in Greensboro, North Carolina. This position leads the electrical portion of residential standby generator installations, from jobsite arrival through testing and completion.

The ideal candidate has strong residential electrical experience, understands transfer switches and standby power systems, and is comfortable leading installations while maintaining high standards for safety, code compliance, workmanship, and customer service.

Experience with standby generators is highly valued, but we also welcome experienced residential electricians who are interested in learning the generator industry.

  • Install and wire standby generators, automatic transfer switches, load-management equipment, disconnects, breakers, and related electrical components.

  • Complete required job documentation, photographs, testing records, and installation checklists.
  • Communicate professionally with homeowners throughout the installation process.
  • Maintain a clean and safe jobsite from arrival through completion.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Leadership Expectations

We are looking for an Electrical Lead who can take ownership of the electrical side of each generator installation. The right candidate can assess a job, determine what needs to be done, lead the crew through the installation, and deliver clean, safe, code-compliant work.

This position requires someone who is comfortable making field decisions, troubleshooting unexpected issues, coordinating with other trades and project leadership, and helping less-experienced installers develop their skills.

Compensation and Benefits
  • $24–$32 per hour, based on experience and qualifications
  • Full-time, consistent work
  • Company vehicle for work-related travel during the workday; this is not a take-home vehicle
