Fleet Mechanic

Dollar General seeks a skilled Fleet Mechanic to maintain and repair our automotive fleet, ensuring safe, reliable operations. In this on-site role, you will perform diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance on light- and medium-duty vehicles, using modern tools and diagnostic software. Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair company fleet vehicles, including brakes, engines, electrical, and HVAC systems
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance, safety inspections, and documentation for compliance
• Use diagnostic tools and software to identify mechanical and electronic issues
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and communicate repair status with operations teams
• Order and manage parts inventory while adhering to cost and quality standards
• Ensure shop, tools, and work areas are safe, clean, and compliant with OSHA and company policies
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to reduce downtime and improve fleet reliability
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and adopt new technologies and best practices
