About the Role:

The Plumber Apprentice role is designed to provide hands-on training and practical experience in the plumbing trade under the supervision of experienced professionals. The primary goal is to develop the apprentice's skills in installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems in residential and commercial settings. This position involves learning to work with various materials and tools, including pipe fitting, drainage systems, and compressors, while also gaining knowledge in related construction tasks.

The apprentice will contribute to the successful completion of plumbing projects by assisting with installations and repairs, while progressively taking on more complex tasks. Ultimately, this role prepares the individual for a career as a licensed plumber by combining technical training with real-world application.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic understanding of hand tools and construction materials.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision.
  • Physical ability to perform manual labor including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience or coursework in plumbing, construction, or related fields.
  • Familiarity with commercial building environments and safety standards.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to pursue plumbing certification or apprenticeship program completion.
Responsibilities:
  • Assist experienced plumbers in installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems including pipe fitting and drainage.
  • Operate and maintain hand tools, compressors, and other equipment safely and effectively on job sites.
  • Follow all safety protocols and building codes to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Prepare and clean work areas, ensuring tools and materials are organized and available.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate tasks and report progress.
