Job Overview:

The Evening Controls Technician will assume advanced tasks relating to the production machines and will troubleshoot all electrical and Mechanical problems on equipment, including PLC controls. This position is responsible for analyzing equipment to troubleshoot problems and making any necessary repairs to electrical, mechanicalor PLC programming changes related to production reliability.

* This position will train on the day shift for up to 2 months before transitioning into the evening shift.

Monday - Thursday (OT on Fridays as needed)

• 4:00pm - 2:00am

• Observesfunctioningof installed equipment to detect hazards ,problems and the need for service,repairand/or replacement of electrical and mechanical components.
• Proficiently use ladder logic programming with experience in the Allen Bradley platform based programming, including RS Logix 500 and 5000.
• Work efficiently withworkorder system (EAM) to document repairs and preventative maintenance throughout the plant.
• Traces problems using electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and hydraulic components.
• Discusses performance issues and improvement ideas with pertinent technical staff.
• Maintains backups of programs from all electrical devices.
• Checks newly installed equipment to evaluate system performance under actual operating conditions.
• Use basic Servo Controls (open and closed loop systems) and set up variable frequencydriveoperations and parameters.
• Perform basic motor operation and troubleshooting on Servo motors, brushed DC motors, and Induction motors.
• Works closely with the Custom Equipment Process Group (CEPG) on machine improvements.
• Will have the skills to properly usea digital multimeter.
• Works closely with maintenance andis able toassistwith troubleshooting electrical problems and able to providePLC-support across the plant.
• Concisely and accuratelydocumentsset-pointsand parameters for equipment.

• 2-years experience in a closely related role is required
• Associate’s degree in a technical-related field is strongly
• Must be able to obtain forklift and aerial platform licenses
• To perform this job successfully, an individual should have Enterprise Asset Management software experience and ability toutilize
  
  Microsoft Office Suite programs proficiently
