Capital Ford of Lillington is seeking a skilled and experienced Automotive Diesel Technician to join our service team. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, in-depth knowledge of diesel engine systems, and a commitment to delivering high-quality repairs. You'll Be Doing
  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel-powered vehicles and equipment.
  • Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to identify issues with diesel engines and related systems.
  • Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks.
  • Inspect, repair. and rebuild transmissions in diesel-powered vehicles.
  • Repair and replace exhaust system components, including mufflers and catalytic converters.
  • Diagnose and repair hydraulic systems in diesel vehicles and heavy-duty equipment.
  • Communicate with Service Advisors regarding repair options, additional work, and estimated timelines.
  • Follow all safety protocols and dealership procedures during repair activities.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
  • Previous experience as an Automotive Diesel Technician, with a focus on diesel engine repairs, preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of diesel engine systems, diagnostics, and repair techniques.
  • Experience with transmissions, exhaust systems, and hydraulic systems.
  • Proficiency in using automotive tools, diagnostic equipment, and repair equipment.
  • ASE certifications in Diesel Engines or related areas are highly desirable.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with technicians and service personnel.
  • Excellent communication skills and a service-oriented mindset.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to changes in diesel engine technology and repair techniques.
  • Must pass pre-employment background screenings.
