Pump Mechanic
Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Pump Mechanics for projects located in or around Dallas, NC. This is a first shift opportunity and the pay rate is $26-$30/hour based on experience and skill level. Job Scope:
- Diagnose mechanical failures on industrial pumps and rotating equipment
- Inspect, disassemble, clean, rebuild, and reassemble pumps and related equipment
- Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and complete pump overhauls
- Install, align, and commission new pumping equipment
- Read and interpret equipment drawings, manuals, and repair documentation
- Prepare detailed inspection reports and maintain accurate service records
- Recommend repair options and replacement parts
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Communicate professionally with customers, vendors, and team members
- Assist with field service assignments as needed
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 2 years of experience repairing industrial pumps or rotating equipment
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, precision measuring instruments, and shop equipment
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Lift and carry up to 50 lbs. regularly
- Stand, kneel, bend, crouch, and climb throughout the workday
- Work safely in shop and industrial plant environments
- Comfortable working around machinery, noise, heat, cold, and dusty conditions
- Ability to safely operate forklifts (training provided if needed)

- Positive Displacement Pumps
- Rotary Lobe Pumps
- Gear Pumps
- Vacuum Pumps
- Mechanical Seal and Bearing Installation
- Laser Alignment Equipment
- Vibration Analysis and Predictive Maintenance
- Industrial Maintenance, Millwright, or Rotating Equipment Repair
