About This Opportunity
The Social Worker II provides supportive services to children, youth, and families involved with the Department of Social Services. This position works closely with an assigned Social Worker III to assist with case activities that assess child safety, reduce risk factors, and promote family stability. The Social Worker II supports the delivery of child welfare services by conducting client contacts, gathering information for assessments, facilitating visitation activities, and maintaining accurate documentation.
This position plays an important role in ensuring compliance with state regulations, agency policies, and required timelines while working collaboratively with families, service providers, and other professionals involved in case planning and service delivery.
Bachelor's degree in social work from an appropriately accredited institution; or Bachelor's degree in a human services field from an appropriately accredited institution and one year of directly related experience; or Bachelor's degree from an appropriately accredited institution and two years directly related experience; or An equivalent combination of education and experience.
Physical RequirementsMust be physically able to operate a variety of office equipment. Must be able to exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
