Anderson Health Services is hiring Youth Mentors to work directly with boys and adolescent young menhelping them build confidence, discipline, emotional strength, and life skills.
This is an active, hands‑on role for people who believe presence matters — and who aren’t afraid to lead by example.

What You’ll Actually DoAs a Youth Mentor, you won’t sit behind a desk. You will:
- Mentors boys and adolescent young men through real-life experiences
- Emotional control and confidence
- Respect, boundaries, and accountability
- Daily life skills and routines
- Model calm leadership, consistency, and strength
- Show up when it matters most (after school, evenings, weekends)
- Build trust through actions, not lectures
- Document sessions clearly and responsibly
- Work closely with a supportive clinical and leadership team
- Athletic or active
- A coach, former athlete, or team leader
- Comfortable setting boundaries and holding youth accountable
- Calm under pressure
- Motivated by impact, not just a paycheck
- Looking to build experience in:
- Youth development
- Behavioral health
- Coaching, counseling, or human services
- $18–$21 per hour (based on experience)
- Flexible full-time and part-time options
- Paid training and ongoing development
- Supportive team culture — you won’t do this alone
- Mileage reimbursement (when applicable)
- Real experience that matters if you’re pursuing:
- Counseling
- Social work
- Psychology
- Education
- Youth or community leadership
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience working with youth (sports, mentoring, camps, schools, after‑school programs, faith or community groups, behavioral health, etc.)
- Reliable transportation & valid driver’s license
- Ability to be consistent, firm, and supportive
- Comfortable following structured plans and expectations
- Background in behavioral health, education, or human services
- Experience working with youth who struggle with emotions or behavior
For some of the boys you’ll mentor, you may be the most consistent positive presence in their week.
