Position
Family Support Worker – Bristol East Central Area Office, St Pauls. Part‑time, 14.5 hours per week. Fixed term until 28 June 2027, with a full‑time option.
OverviewThe role supports a team of social workers and support staff in working with vulnerable children and families.
Key responsibilities- Work with children and families, supporting social work interventions.
- Communicate effectively with children, young people and families, and produce written reports.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary partners.
- Respond to cases involving mental health, addiction and domestic abuse vulnerabilities.
Qualifications & skills- Experience working with children and families.
- Understanding of statutory Children’s Services and child protection laws.
- Ability to recognise diversity, equity and cultural awareness.
- Strong communication, organisational, flexible and working‑under‑pressure skills.
- Confidence in engaging with children, young people and families.
RequirementsEnhanced DBS check required.
