What You'll Do
  • Provide direct care, supervision, instruction, and support to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
  • Promote independence, dignity, self-determination, and community inclusion.
  • Implement individualized service plans, teaching strategies, and positive behavior support plans.
  • Assist participants with personal development goals, life skills training, communication, socialization, and community engagement.
  • Create and facilitate engaging activities that support learning, cognitive development, and personal growth.
  • Support individuals during community outings, recreational activities, educational workshops, and volunteer opportunities.
  • Encourage positive relationships and meaningful participation within the community.
  • Monitor participant progress and communicate concerns or changes to program leadership.
  • Complete documentation, data collection, assessments, and required reports accurately and timely.
  • Assist with activities of daily living, meals, and personal care as needed.
  • Maintain a safe, healthy, and supportive environment.
  • Transport individuals safely using company vehicles.
  • Maintain confidentiality and promptly report any concerns regarding participant health, safety, abuse, neglect, or exploitation.
  • Work collaboratively with Site Managers, QDDPs, team members, families, and other stakeholders.

Qualifications Required
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Ability to work effectively with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain accurate documentation and records
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record (if required for transportation duties)
  • Ability to complete required background checks and training requirements
  • Commitment to promoting dignity, respect, and person-centered supports
Preferred
  • Experience supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
  • Human services, healthcare, education, or related experience
