Pyramid Healthcare is seeking a Vocational / Housing Qualified Professional (QP) to join our Assertive Community Treatment Team (ACTT) in the Mars Hill, NC area.

ACTT is a true “hospital without walls,” providing intensive, community‑based services to individuals living with severe and persistent mental illness. Rather than waiting for clients to come to us, our multidisciplinary team meets people where they are—helping them build stability, independence, and meaningful connections within their communities.

In this role, you’ll work directly with individuals to address housing stability, employment and vocational goals, life skills, community integration, and overall recovery.

• Provide community‑based support focused on housing, employment, vocational development, and independent living
• Develop and monitor person‑centered service and treatment plans
• Help clients identify and pursue employment, education, and vocational goals
• Assist clients with housing resources, housing stability, and community‑based supports
• Connect clients with community resources and benefits that support long‑term independence
• Collaborate with the ACTT multidisciplinary team to coordinate services and monitor progress
• Participate in treatment team meetings, case reviews, and discharge planning
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation in accordance with program and regulatory requirements
• Build strong relationships with clients, families, referral sources, employers, housing providers, and community partners
• Provide transportation and community‑based services as needed
• Participate in crisis response and rotating on‑call responsibilities

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Human Services, or a related field
• Must meet Qualified Professional (QP) requirements under 10A NCAC 27G.0104
• Experience working with individuals with severe and persistent mental illness (SPMI) preferred
• Experience in vocational rehabilitation, employment services, housing services, case management, or community‑based behavioral health strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of community resources and support services
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

• Ability to build trusting relationships with individuals from diverse backgrounds
• Strong communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary team
• Comfortable working in community and non‑traditional settings
• Strong professional boundaries and sound judgment
• Passion for helping individuals achieve greater independence and stability
