Overview
Responsible for coordinating and dispatching loads to company-owned and contract drivers for timely and safe delivery of feed to contract growers' farms. Also responsible for training drivers in procedures of loading trucks, when necessary. Scheduling duties include completing feed delivery and inventory records and maintaining the feed scheduling system. Responsible for compliance with all company policies and local, state and federal policies, laws and regulations.
Responsibilities- Schedules and dispatches drivers for feed delivery during the hours of 6pm - 6am, 3-days/4-day schedules.
- Manages the flow of four load outs, by utilizing Samsara to track driver location.
- Manages drivers' hours.
- Assists with resolving drivers' issues.
- Delivers responsive support to internal teams and external partners (out of feed, etc.).
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 0 - 2 years’ relevant experience in dispatching or logistics.
- Working knowledge of Department of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). Hours of Service (HOS) and vehicle safety compliance.
- Proficient with computers with a good understanding of Excel and transportation management software.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, including mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.
