Position Title: HVAC Parts Runner
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM
Employment Type: Full-Time
Department: Service
Reports To: Parts Manager or Service Manager
Position Summary
The HVAC Parts Runner is responsible for supporting field technicians and warehouse operations by ensuring the timely delivery, pickup, and organization of HVAC equipment, parts, materials, and supplies. This role helps maintain efficient service operations by coordinating logistics, managing inventory-related tasks, and ensuring technicians have the necessary materials to complete customer jobs safely and effectively.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Deliver HVAC parts, equipment, and materials to job sites, technicians, and company facilities in a timely manner.
- Pick up parts, equipment, and supplies from vendors, distributors, and warehouses.
- Verify delivery accuracy by checking orders, invoices, packing slips, and purchase orders.
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of company vehicles, warehouse areas, and storage locations.
- Assist with receiving, stocking, labeling, and organizing inventory.
- Track and document deliveries, pickups, and inventory movements.
- Communicate with dispatchers, service managers, warehouse personnel, and field technicians regarding parts availability and delivery schedules.
- Return unused materials, cores, and warranty parts as directed.
- Follow all company safety policies, driving regulations, and warehouse procedures.
- Assist with warehouse and operational support tasks as needed.
- Maintain a professional appearance and represent the company positively when interacting with vendors, customers, and team members.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to safely operate company vehicles and navigate local service areas.
- Basic knowledge of HVAC equipment, tools, and parts preferred but not required.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and vendors.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently.
- Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and climb as required.
- Ability to work in warehouse environments, outdoor conditions, and varying weather conditions.
- Ability to safely load and unload materials and equipment.
- Combination of driving, warehouse operations, and job site visits.
- Exposure to varying weather conditions, construction sites, and industrial environments.
- Regular interaction with technicians, suppliers, and company personnel.
- Complete deliveries and pickups accurately and on schedule.
- Maintain a safe driving record and adhere to company safety standards.
- Support technician productivity through efficient logistics and material management.
- Maintain organized inventory and accurate documentation.
- Demonstrate reliability, professionalism, and strong teamwork.
Work Hours:
Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, with occasional overtime as business needs require.
