Logistics Operations Specialist (m/f/ )
This role is responsible for leading and optimizing international freight operations across the EMEA region, ensuring reliable, cost-efficient, and high-quality end-to-end delivery. The position plays a key role in driving carrier performance, strengthening logistics capabilities, and enabling continuous improvement of transportation networks in alignment with global standards and regional business needs.

Here, you will make an impact by:
- Leading and optimizing international air transportation operations across EMEA to improve cost, service, and transit time performance.
- Managing end-to-end air freight operations, including inbound and outbound flows, delivery reliability, and issue escalation.
- Overseeing carrier and 3PL performance through SLA management, KPI tracking, and collaboration with Procurement and key stakeholders.
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives to reduce lead times, airport dwell time, premium freight, and other transportation inefficiencies.
- Using data analytics and performance dashboards to identify issues, support decision-making, and improve routing and capacity utilization.
- Partnering with internal and external stakeholders on sourcing activities, market insights, operational governance, and strategic logistics projects.
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who meet following minimum requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in international transportation and logistics within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong experience in carrier and 3PL management, including SLA governance, KPI performance management, and continuous improvement.
- Solid knowledge of air freight operations, global trade practices, Incoterms, customs, and hazardous goods handling.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, project management, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with key logistics systems and tools, such as ERP/TMS platforms, data visualization tools, and advanced Excel.
- Fluent in English

- Travel - May include up to 10% domestic/international
- Relocation:
Not authorized - This role has on-site working model, with the employee working at least four days a week in the designated 3M office
