At Crete Carrier and Shaffer Trucking, our miles are up significantly. We need more safe, experienced drivers to meet the needs of our customers. Crete, Shaffer, and Hunt drivers are paid based on practical miles, which pays 3-5 percent more total miles per year than companies that pay based on short route miles. We recently raised our governed truck speed to 68 MPH on the cruise and 65 MPH on the pedal, increasing productivity for the most productive drivers.

The top 50 percent of our Crete Carrier and Shaffer Trucking OTR drivers average more than $101,176 annually, equating to over $1,945 per week. The top 50% of our Hunt Transportation drivers average $93,347 annually ($1,795 per week), with starting pay ranging from $0.65 to $0.68 per mile.
