Summary:

To assure customer deliveries are made with accuracy, timeliness. And within set time parameters. Perform job duties in a safe and courteous manner while maintaining an unblemished driving record. Adhere to all company and DOT requirements, including but not limited to daily documentation. Adhere to all Core Linen Services policies as stated in the employee handbook. Be in uniform and maintain a neat appearance every workday.

Adhere to Core Linen Services attendance policy. Keep company equipment lean and organized. Report any mechanical issue to chief engineer promptly. Follow all universal precautions and procedures while on soil side. Maintain all proper DOT documentation and certification. Follow all safety procedures. Report any and all problems/issues in regard to customer service and satisfaction.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, individual must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and possibly holidays. Have and maintain a clean driving record with a valid driver's license. Pass DOT physical, drug screening, and MVR background check. Be able to lift 50 lbs. and push/pull a wheeled cart of 700lbs.

About the Position

We are currently seeking a dedicated CDL A Driver for a route in Kernersville, NC. This position offers the opportunity for temp to perm employment with a focus on light-touch freight. The driver will be responsible for maintaining a dedicated route while ensuring timely deliveries. Home daily.

Pay & Schedule

• $26.77/hr + $5.36 H&W
• Expected hours per week: 40
• Mail Routes, that with varied starting times

Minimum Requirements

• Valid CDL A
• 2+ Years of recent, relevant, and verifiable CDL driving experience.
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record (no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years).
• Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements.
• Able to use a pallet jack to move freight

What you ll do:

• Perform touch-freight tasks, which may require lifting, moving, or carrying products weighing over 75 lbs
• Pre-inspect the truck, load materials, and verify the accuracy of the load
• Notify branch management of any potential hazards on site
• Set up job parameters and inspect the site to ensure a safe environment for loading and unloading
• Maintain regular communication with the dispatcher to ensure timely delivery of products
• Follow all DOT and company safety procedures, and always wear appropriate PPE

What you ll bring:

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• At least 12 months of verifiable commercial driving experience
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
