Job Description

We re looking for a professional and reliable Class A CDL Driver to join our team. In this role, you ll be responsible for safely and efficiently delivering materials to our customers, ensuring a high level of service and professionalism. You ll be a key part of our operations, coordinating with dispatch, working with your team, and serving as a direct point of contact for our customers.

Key Responsibilities

Deliveries and Customer Service

• Safely transport and deliver materials to job sites using a Class A CDL truck and a Moffett forklift.
• Secure loads properly before transport and verify all items are accounted for against the work order and backorder report.
• Provide exceptional customer service by communicating clearly with customers and dispatch, and by showing respect for the job site and property.
• Confirm delivery details with the customer before leaving the yard, including estimated arrival time, job site readiness, and payment.
• Collect payments as instructed and ensure all paperwork is properly signed and returned to the office.

Operations and Maintenance

• Communicate effectively with the dispatcher and the entire team, assisting with loading and other tasks as needed.
• Manage your time efficiently to meet delivery schedules and report any delays or issues to dispatch immediately.
• Complete daily pre-trip inspections and other basic maintenance checks, such as monitoring tire pressure and engine oil levels.
• Report all equipment maintenance issues and damages to the maintenance department and dispatch promptly.
• Use and maintain your Electronic Logging Device (ELD) accurately and log your on-duty time before leaving the yard.

Compliance and Safety

• Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies, including those for vehicle operation, load security, and delivery procedures.
